A LITTLE INTRODUCTION

Because you asked so nicely.

THEY CALL ME… DOCTOR BOSWELL.

CREDENTIALS, QUALIFICATIONS, ETC. ETC.

Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be a writer. I loved stories—telling them, reading them—and though I played with toy dinosaurs and action figures as much as my brother, my play involved elaborate tales of their adventures. This same desire to inhabit and explore imaginative worlds drives the novels I write today.

I earned a master’s and Ph.D. in creative writing, and I’m on staff at the University of North Texas as managing editor for the international, peer-reviewed journal Studies in the Novel. I work freelance as a book editor and ghostwriter and have helped produce about 60-70 books. I enjoy teaching, as well, and have taught 17 sections of university-level writing courses.

FAMILY MAN AND WORLD TRAVELER

HEY, MINIVANS AND DISNEYLAND ARE COOL.

I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex with my wonderful wife of 19 years (Kristi), three big-hearted, amazing sons (Benjamin, 15; Micah, 10; & Charlie, 7), and the newest addition, our baby girl, Isabella. We also have two rescue dogs–a Schnauzer mix and a Golden Retriever mix that both live for belly rubs.

I love to travel with the family, but also solo, and try to take one adventurous trip by myself to a new place every few years. Whether snorkeling a cenote in the Yucatan, walking the rainy streets of London, hiking the Rockies, swimming with whale sharks, or climbing the stairs of the Eiffel Tower (I highly recommend the elevator), I come alive in the great outdoors and great cities of the world. If you buy my books, I can travel to more places. And write about them, of course.
